| Dr. Britt Conklin DVM, CF:
Dr. Britt Conklin grew up in the small west Texas town
of Friona, before he attended Texas Tech University in
Lubbock Texas, where he graduated with a degree in
Animal Science. He then attended Texas A & M University
where he became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2001
and was awarded the Pharmacia/ Upjohn Large Animal
Proficiency Award.
While in veterinary school, Britt apprenticed under Dr.
Danny Taylor CJF, PhD who worked in conjunction with Dr.
David Hood on “The Hoof Project,” at Texas A & M. In
2001 Britt became an American Farriers Association and
Texas Professional Farrier Association Certified Farrier.
Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with
leading veterinarians and farriers on a vast array of
podiatry issues.
Dr. Conklin is co-owner of Reata Equine Hospital, and
he has dedicated the majority of his practice to equine
podiatry. He is very passionate in his research and is
continually working to find new and more improved ways
to prevent and treat laminitis as he continues to become
one of the area’s leading podiatrists and a sought after
speaker on the topic of laminitis across the country.

Dr. Conklin is married to Lee Ann Conklin, who is a
physical therapist and they have three children, Hallie, Carson,
and Cale. They are both active members of Greenwood
Baptist Church with teaching and service roles ranging
from youth to young married couples.
